A private label cleaning wipe program usually starts one of two ways: take a proven wiper spec and put it in packaging printed with your brand, or adjust the spec itself, such as sheet size, sheet count, fold or roll length, to fit how your customers use it. Graminton supplies both for the LICK range of industrial and household wipers and paper rolls, made in Taiwan, with printed packaging usually setting the minimum order.
This guide covers how the two routes differ, the fields that go on a private label wipe spec sheet, the pack formats to choose from, and what to have ready before asking for a quote and samples. For how we approach wipers as a supplier more broadly, see our industrial wiper supplier guide.
Proven Spec or Adjusted Spec: Which Route Fits Your Program?
| Proven spec, your packaging | Adjusted spec | |
|---|---|---|
| What changes | Packaging print and branding | Sheet size, count, fold, roll length or pack format, plus branding |
| Starting point | An existing LICK item and its test reports | An existing LICK material, adjusted |
| Sampling | Shorter: the wipe itself is already in production | Longer: each change is sampled and confirmed |
| Fits | A first launch or a test listing | A gap the current range does not cover |
Most distributors start with a proven spec in their own packaging, see which items reorder, and adjust specs in a later round. Feasibility for any change is confirmed item by item, and minimum quantities are set in the quote.
The proven-spec route also keeps what buyers already rely on: the same material, sheet size and count every run, the existing SGS reports, and a product page your sales team can point to while your own packaging is in development. An adjusted spec starts from the same LICK materials, so the material data carries over, while the new size, fold or count is confirmed in sampling.
What Goes on a Private Label Wipe Spec Sheet?
The same fields come up in every inquiry, so putting them on one sheet keeps the first round short:
| Field | What to write | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Job and location | What is being wiped, and where | Kitchen counters and dishes; restaurant front and back of house; machines on a production line |
| Material and weight | Fiber blend and basis weight | Wood pulp fiber and polyester; meltblown polyester |
| How it is used | Dry or wet; with cleaners or solvents; rinsed and reused or single use | Wet and dry; solvent-compatible; rinsable |
| Sheet size | Length × width | 20 × 30 cm; 30 × 30 cm |
| Count | Sheets per roll, box or pack | 160 per roll; 30 per pack |
| Pack format | Roll, box, soft pack, and whether it is printed | See the next section |
| Test reports | Which reports buyers will ask for | Formaldehyde, heavy metals, E. coli, migrating fluorescent agents; food contact where needed |
The LICK product pages show how these fields look on a finished item: each lists sheet size, sheets per roll or pack, packs per carton, material and SGS test items. If you are moving customers off cloth rags, our guide to replacing shop rags tier by tier helps decide which grades belong on the sheet.
Which Pack Format Should a Private Label Wipe Use?
The current LICK range runs in three main formats, and the right one depends on where the wipe is used:
- Perforated rolls. Tear-off rolls for fixed stations, sold with or without a stand. The L7101 household roll is 20 × 30 cm, 160 sheets per roll, with a no-stand and a with-stand version; the L7212 multi-purpose wipes roll carries 580 sheets per roll for food plants and production lines.
- Quarterfold sheets in a box or pack. Folded sheets that pull one at a time. The L9150 multi-task cleaning cloths come 160 sheets to a lidded box that keeps dust off, and the L8138 power cleaning cloths come 30 to a pack for grease, solvents and alcohol at the bench.
- Soft packs. Flat packs for retail shelves and cleaning carts. The L8139 multi-use cleaning wipes are 30 × 30 cm, 30 sheets per pack, for kitchens and dining areas.

As a rule of thumb, rolls suit high-volume fixed stations, boxes suit counters where dust and moisture matter, and soft packs suit retail and carts. Whether a given spec can move to another format is confirmed with the quote.

What Should You Prepare Before Asking for a Quote and Samples?
Four things make the first reply specific:
- A draft spec sheet. Fill in the fields above; leave any you are unsure of blank and settle them with our team.
- A reference product. If there is a wipe you want to match or improve on, send a sample or photos.
- Volume estimates. The first order quantity and expected monthly volume after launch.
- Target launch date. When the product needs to be on shelf, so sampling, packaging artwork and production can be planned back from it.
Minimum order, sampling and lead time are confirmed together in the quote. Printed packaging usually drives the minimum, so a program that starts with one or two printed SKUs reaches it more easily than one spread across many.
Which Items Can Carry Your Brand?
The LICK industrial and household wipers and paper rolls can be private labeled: sheet size, fold, roll length and dispenser or box packaging can be adjusted. The gg-plus household line, including the GG9401 disposable dish cloths, can also be developed under your brand, with packaging print, count and size confirmed item by item. The LGK cleanroom wipes, LD oil absorbents, LF filter paper and LE-0002 floor stand are supplied as standard LICK items.
LICK products are made under an ISO 9001-certified quality system. The wipers are SGS-tested for formaldehyde, heavy metals, E. coli and migrating fluorescent agents, and several, including the L7101, L9150, L7212 and L8138, also for food contact and packaging material; the report for a specific item is available on request. Labeling rules for cleaning products vary by market, so check the requirements where your products will be sold.
FAQ
What is the minimum order for private label wipes?
It depends on the item and how the packaging is printed, since printed packaging usually sets the minimum. Minimum quantities are confirmed in the quote.
Can I change only the packaging and keep the wipe as it is?
Yes. Putting a proven LICK spec into packaging printed with your brand is the most common starting point, and it keeps the existing test reports for that wipe.
How do I choose the material for a private label wipe?
Start from the job: water and light spills, heavy grease and solvents, or wiping with cleaners. Wood pulp and polyester blends suit general and kitchen use, and meltblown polyester suits grease and solvents. Samples let you test both before committing.
Do private label wipes come with test reports?
Yes. A proven spec carries its existing SGS reports; an adjusted spec is tested as agreed in the quote.
Can I buy LICK wipes as they are instead of under my own brand?
Yes. Distributors can stock the standard LICK range; our janitorial supply list for distributors covers which items to stock and how they pack.
