GUIDE

How these capabilities work together

A product passes through these capabilities in order. The Non-woven Material Research Center works with global fiber manufacturers and selects the material by recipe, structure and weight. The Biotechnology Development Center develops the skincare formula. Once fabric and formula are fixed, Sheet Mask Production runs them on a fully automated, computer-monitored line. Medical consumables are organized by the Eight Protection Levels, which match material and weight to the application.

Developing material and formula in one process is what our sheet mask and nonwoven products are built on. To put these capabilities to work on your product, see Services.

FAQ

R&D and Manufacturing: Common Questions

What does the Non-woven Material Research Center do?

Started in 2002, it connects with global fiber manufacturers and follows the latest production processes to develop nonwoven materials. Examples include a thin, transparent sheet mask cloth made from eucalyptus fiber and flushable cloths. Development cases are shown in Product Development.

How is sheet mask production automated?

The fully automated line was introduced in 2016. Each step — UV sterilization, stain detection, cutting, folding, filling and bagging — is monitored by computer, which reduces manual contact with the product. See Sheet Mask Production.

What are the eight protection levels?

A way of organizing medical consumables by material, weight and application — from nonwoven bed sheets in 20 to 40 gsm to dental bibs of wood pulp with a PE film that resists moisture. The full table is in Eight Protection Levels.

Can you develop a formula for my brand?

Yes. The team combines cosmetics, biology and beauty technology backgrounds, and studies each raw material before designing the formula. The project process is described in Cosmetics OEM.
